Aebi M020

Communal service truck concept

M020 is design concept of a communal service truck. A versatile truck used for doing construction and maintenance work. Such as collecting recycling materials, executing small repairing works and bringing heavy materials from one point to another. It has the technical layout of a truck but at the same time the vehicle is built very compact. This enables the workers accessing small pathways in parks, forest and cross bridges. The design challenge was to design an exterior and interior that enables an ergonomic work environment and a visual expression that incorporates the corporate identity of Aebi Schmidt AG.

In order to translate the 2D draft into 3D we used VR Sketching. It's a fast and easy way to prove that the design doesn't only work on the paper but also in 3D. It proved to be a good step before going into CAD and spending a lot of time on a high fidelity model.
